Magstrip is a small project for playing with magnetic strip reader and writers. For the moment my main focus is the Omron 3S4YR-MVFW1JD - I think this device can be found in most ATMs these days. It is hybrid magnetic stripe ISO track 1, 2 and 3 reader / writer plus T=0 and T=1 smartcard interface. It has a RS232 interface and is pretty easy to handle.
I have started a small utility implementing som eof the commands necessary for reading plastic magnetic cards which I release under the GPL license. Sourcecode can for now be acessed through our GIT server.
